About Me and My Practice

Having graduated in June 2024, I am now based in Kent. Here in my home studio.
My practice focuses on portraiture and the beauty of everyday objects. In the last couple of years I have been working on oil paint portrait commissions and have enjoyed expanding my abilities as a portraitist and finding new ways to depict a person’s likeness and character. I have also been developing my project which celebrates the wonder of the small every day. I enjoy putting my own modern perspective on the still life genre, by painting and drawing ‘ordinary’ objects, particularly reflective ones, to explore the beauty and unexpected moments they hold.
I studied Art History at the University of St Andrews, exploring the academic and critical engagement with art, enriching my own artistic practice. I now give regular art talks in care homes and to local groups, focusing on the lives and techniques of famous artists
